If their lifestyles were anything like this before, they wouldn't need this stuff now
Keep your weight down.
Eat right.
Exercise.
And stop looking for youth in a tiny bottle, a pill, or (you've got to be kidding me) an underarm deodorant. Man I am ashamed of my fellow males today. What the hell is the matter with you idiots- thirty years of being a pathetic, KFC-and-Doritos-gorging couch potato finally catching up to you?
Want to live forever? Not going to happen. Want to feel young longer? Take care of yourself, and stop asking your doctor for a prescription to fix the problems you created yourself over the last several decades.
By the way- all you losers in this ad? I don't care how you think you feel- you still LOOK old. Sucks to be you.

The FCC (or whoever's in charge of commercials) needs to reinstate the ban on Big Pharma advertising. I'm. SO. F'ING. SICK. of the 'medicate all your problems away' mentality society has. I'm tired of heath problems being viewed as something you pop a pill to fix and forget about, and if there isn't a pill, well, there damn well should be because we shouldn't have to live with inconveniences and difficulties--and what people define as a 'difficulty' is laughable far too often. Not being able to get it up sucks, and I'm truly sorry about that, but if you'd eat better, become more active, and stop looking at so much porn, that will go a long way to solving the problem. No pills required.
ReplyDeleteYou know, it's not even "medicate your problems away" anymore. It's "medicate reality away." Here's reality- you get old. You slow down. Your energy wanes. Your hair turns grey, and maybe it falls out. It gets harder to keep weight off. It's easier to get hurt (we aren't as elastic and limber as we used to be.) That's just life. Conning yourself into thinking that a pill can eliminate all of the unwelcome things about Simply Growing Old is just sad.
DeleteI also agree with the rest of your post- want to stay younger, longer? Eat right. Exercise and otherwise stay active. You are still going to die- but your QUALITY of life will be considerably higher. These jackasses who think that a doctor can prescribe away thirty years of neglect deserve what they get- disappointment in a bottle.
